Every festive season, we collaborate with a community of artists , makers and illustrators to enchant your holidays with delightful large-scale installations all around our precinct.

This visual feast for your senses pays homage to much-loved Cape icons like the mountain itself (and its cable cars) and our marine paradise, our neighbourhood Cape Wheel and Clock Tower, the colourful Bo-Kaap buildings, Mouille Point lighthouse and the region’s unique fauna and flora. So, visit our waterfront world this festive season to hear our Cape Town love song as it rings between the mountain and the sea.

Celebrating our 5th Year

Launched in 2019 , JFA is a more relevant and representative festive season for Capetonians, South Africans and our international visitors to build cheerful memories around. Our V&A approach to this most wonderful time of the year proves that there is always a better, more joyful way of doing business.

Creating meaningful and long-
lasting impact is fundamental to everything we do with
illustration Joy from Africa.

We want you and your family to feel inspired as you enjoy our eye-catching décor all around the neighbourhood. But creating meaningful and long-lasting impact is fundamental to everything we do with Joy from Africa.

We do this with a two-pronged strategy that prioritises job creation and skills development (as we work with our community of makers) and sustainability (with a focus on repurposing, upcycling and conscious sourcing).
